Did you do all those scans because you had a problem, or were you just 
being extra, extra sure? :-)

Who is "them"?

Sounds like TrendMicro is configured incorrectly and is preventing the 
email from being sent out. Have you tried turning off email scanning? 
It's quite unnecessary from a security perspective as long as your 
antivirus and antispyware programs have real-time protection (guard, 
shield, etc.), and it can cause even worse problems than not getting or 
not sending mail...
