They're probably taking up almost exactly the same amount of space as
they were before -- and NOT clogging up the system, since they're no
longer hooked into the OS.

To clean out the quarantine, open Counterspy, and click View ->
Spyware Scan -> Manage Spyware Quarantine.  You should get a list of
items, and the bottom, a choice of checking all items, and another
choice to permanently remove all checked items.

You can have AdAware, SpyBot S&D (as opposed to other SpyBots), and
Counterspy all installed.
