Great to know, thanks! Now i can cross one thing off my list of things
to have a bad conscience about.
Amazing that this was never brought up here before. No surprise that MS
and computer stores don't bother to mention such a major change. I mean,
they never bothered to tell people about the need to run Scandisk
regularly in Windows 9x, so why would they bother to tell that this need
has all but disappeared...
Actually, what with falling prices and cutthroat competition, i'm amazed
that no computer manufacturers and very few (only small) stores have
realised that the way to beat the competition is to tell your customers
important things, and before things go wrong, and in normal, good English.
