that is very interesting!

Can a website track you if you click on the URL in the email though? I mean
can they tell the click came from the email they sent to a particular
person? If so, then wouldn't they assume from the program's visit that you
are reading and clicking and therefore a live person to send even more spam
to, or sell your email to another spammer?

I really didn't start getting a lot of spam until just a couple months ago,
and I wish I could remember what I did exactly that caused it. :(
