Scott,

    Thanks for the information, I also got your second email and  
decided I would uninstall .NET  since I have three versions  installed.  
1.1, 2.0 and 3.0. Unfortunately since the KB628366  did not install 
properly, Add Remove  will not uninstall any of them.  Since I am not 
sure just what the next steps to take are and everything is still 
working except the MS Patch installation, I will have to think about it. 
I tried to do a restore from the date before the change but that would 
not work either.  I have a complete Drive Image backup from a prior time 
so that may be my only recourse. But will need to take the time to save 
the messages and other files modified since then.
