I put together a new computer for myself at work. I normally install
drivers by pointing the Add Hardware Wizard at the CD, since using the
vendor's installation program often installs other junk -- the more
there is installed, the more chances of problems. In this case,
though, there was one device (I forget what it was) for which no
driver could be found on the CD. Using the install program took care
of the problem, though.
I've seen similar happen with Brother printers that are used across
the network.
