[pchelpers] Scandisk Fails

        Operating System ME, tried scandisk  on the C: Driveboth with the
full system up with all TSR type programs closed and also in SAFE mode and
it always hangs at the same place.
    Scandisk gets quite near to completing but then hangs. I do have an
image backup that is about a month old and still have a running system to be
able to back up any new data. However if anyone has a better way to repair
the problem I would be happy to listen.
