[pchelpers] Scan Photo Thumbnail

I took a passport photo which was 2 X 2 inches but my features were clear.  I 
scan the photo at 100 / 200 dpi.  The image on the dating web site was more of 
a pin head.  I increased the pixel size of the scanner and still a pin head.
   
  I went to Sony Imagestation and had them make the 2 X 2 inches 4 X 6 inches.  
I will be getting the prints shortly.
   
  Will larger print size result in larger digital photo size? My scanner is 
fine for correspondence but to and I have Vueprint to convert the bitmap to 
jpg.  Nothing works.  Any ideas to improve the digital size of the photo? -
