[pchelpers] Re: STILL want to backup to a cd!

Perhaps because writing a CD is a major resource hog. If you do it, make
sure all the other background stuff is turned off (screen savers- the
lot).

Also, it helps if your writer and your main hard drive are on different
IDE interfaces (or you can get traffic jam on the cables and buffer
underruns).
