[pchelpers] Re: Repairing IE5

Oops...sorry Eric, I was thinking of Win98! If you are using Office 2000
(which includes IE 5.5 I think) and have the CDROM handy, you can do a repair
by running your Office 2000 setup and when prompted select the repair option.
If that doesn't help, you can select IE from the CD and reinstall it.
Alternatively, you can run Windows Update and select the SP2 for IE 5.5 from
Product Updates.

Hope that helps.

Hi Tonia

Thanks for your input, Tonia. However Win 2000 Professional doesn't list IE
as one of the programs in the "Add/Remove Programs" menu. I used in
Windows98SE sometime back. How I wish the MS wouldn't chop and change from
utilities that run well just for the sake of "upgrading"!!

Regards

Eric

Look for IE there and then click Add/Remove and from the resulting dialog
box select Repair.
