Why not just make a backup of the *.DBX file. In OE6 (that's what
you'll have if you're using XP), click on Tools->Options->Maintenance,
check the clean-up options, then click Clean Up Now. Once that's done,
click on Store Folder to see where the DBX file is so that you can save
it. After wiping and reinstalling, you can put the file back into the
same spot.
