Hiya John, You're right. Monopoly seems to be the game these giants are playing against each other. I still think netscape was killed by AOL itself. I used to love it and won't even touch IE. But after upgrading to its later version, I had no end of trouble with it. It would crash several times each day! I had to get rid of it and went to IE which has been very stable since I installed the SP2. Now I won't touch Netscape with a ten-foot pole! I wonder why there isn't some kind of watchdog body to ensure merger of giants don't happen, as you said it's not a good idea at all! Another of my 2¢ worth. Since their merger they have taken it upon themselves to do things that before they would separately never have ever thought of. For instance, thy are now suing Microsoft about the alleged damage to their browser Netscape in the later part of the 1990's. I never thought it was a good idea to allow two companies that are as large as they are to merge, it sill only cause problems for anyone who has to deal with them.
