Greetings:
I have a problem with my laptop which runs Windoze 98 SE.
Neither the USB port or the the modem card function. I believe both problems
could be fixed by reinstalling the drivers but, lacking a USB port
internet/network
access I have no means of doing so. Unfortunately, my ailing laptop lacks a CD
drive (its truly ancient).
To solve this problem I thought I would remove the hard drive and place it in a
portable enclosure so that I could treat it as an external drive. I could then
connect
it to another laptop and transfer the necessary drivers onto the W98 hard
drive.
Is this the best strategy to employ or is there another I should consider?
Thanks for any suggestions or alternative solutions.
Wndy

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
