It did it in both.
But what you said made a lot of sense.
All this time I have been blaming Quicktime and it may be a browser problem.
I checked FF and it doesn't have mp3 in the list of files ( may be it is 
there when Quicktime
is installed) and I can't find anything like that in IE.
