[pchelpers] Re: Question Vista & XP

Hi Trudy: I have an Acer Ferrari laptop the top of their line its says its
designed for Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista capable- I am dual booting
with no problems ... You can install Virtual PC 2007 and install any OS you
need to run your printers etc from within that on Vista-- but with an Acer
I don't think you would have a problem - I used Acronis to make another
partition and installed Vista I have it as my primary choice-- 2nd choice
is XP I never lost any data... Make sure you have the version that will work
in Vista. When you are done making another partition , You can install XP
when you make another partition-- if you do have another partition then
you are
all set . You would have C: and the other partition would be called D: One
word of caution makes sure you don`t make your partition too small you will
need to install programs etc to run your peripherals.
Another way to load up XP is use Daemon tools its free I use it all the
time you can install from within Vista... You can call or email Acer from
their website they are quite fast in replying. Tell them your problem I am
sure they will give yo a solution.... One word about buying any computer or
laptops make sure you get the discs if they don't go to a vendor who will.
Check out your laptop by doing this below.

Go to my Computer-- right click
select manage
Disk management and check your partitions

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
