Don,
I have been reading the thread of your problem and all of the answers so far
have been right on to help solve your problem. I have an interesting
question? Why are you using E-Z Bios? With Windows 98 & 98 SE, you should
not have a problem with our system recognizing a larger HD. If I remember
correctly, E-Z Bios was used to help an older system (BIOS) recognize a
larger HD. If this is your case, then it is possible that your system is
seeing two different installations of E-Z Bios, and it stops on the first
installation when in fact you are thinking that you are only dealing with
one installation of E-Z Bios. I had a similar problem, and it caused a
similar conflict that you are now seeing. I suggest that you delete E-Z Bios
altogether, and then proceed to re-format your HD setting up active
partitions as you would for a new HD. Please let us know if this helps at
all.
