Can someone give me the Pros & Cons of using the compression facility of
WinXP?
Specifically, will compression adversely effect application speed?
Thanks

I had just 2 GB of space left on my 80 GB hard drive. Compressed it and
came up with 32GB of 'free' space. No slow down in the operation either.
Have
DSL which of course works much faster than 'dial-up'.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
