XP just about perfected this, it happens on the fly and in some cases is
not noticeable. If you memory/processor is suitable. Really the only lag
you may notice is with encrypted files. In most cases with XP you may
not notice much of a difference. I have several clients who use it and I
experimented with it just to see and noticed very little change in XP
save for encrypted files.

Hi All

Can someone give me the Pros & Cons of using the compression facility of
WinXP?

Specifically, will compression adversely effect application speed?
