Can anyone offer advice regarding how I might retrieve audio files from a DVD- RW disc onto which I recently burned them? I'm running Windows XP. The problem began yesterday when I burned a DVD-RW disc full of my audio and video files. I did this by simply dragging and dropping the files onto the disc using Windows Explorer. I played a couple of files on the newly created DVD-RW to confirm that they were there and functional. All seemed well. Today, however, when I clicked on the DVD-RW in windows explorer the DVD- RW was listed as having zero files and zero bytes. And this, despite the fact that I had moved 3 gigs worth of files onto that disc some twelve hours earlier. Using the "tools | disc " feature of Sony Digital Media (software that came with my laptop) the laptop displayed that there was 3.1 gigs worth of data on the DVD- RW disc. However, these files don't show up via the traditional route of windows explorer. This particular disc is one of many blank discs I purchased from a store. I've successfully used others from this packet. How can i retrieve these files? I don't have a backup for them and they have sentimental value to me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
