[pchelpers] Port 80 blocked

Earlier I set up an internet connection for a client on an XP system. 
Although most settings look fine, it won't allow access via port 80, so 
no web pages are visible. For the last hour I searched for a way to 
unblock port 80 but even the search engines are vague on this. Maybe 
it's in the firewall settings. Anyone got clues to offer on this one?
