[pchelpers] Re: PCTV HD Mini Stick

I  should  mention  that in  the  USA TV  is  going  purely  digital  and  
analog  will  be  obsolete  in  the  middle  of February  2009.  This product  
got  mixed  reviews  from  buyers  but  the  December  2008  PC  magazine  was  
more  charitable.   Cable  is  one  override.  The  mini  stick  is  wireless  
but  will  only  pick  up  local  TV stations.  I  am  in  New  York  City  
and  all  the  networks  have  outlets  here.   A  notebook  (laptop)  only  
gives  an  hour  on  battery  but  with  an  electric  adapter  the  time  is 
infinite.  It  is  another  way  of  getting  digital  TV  since  digital  TV  
sets  are  expensive  with  competing  technologies.  -  Gerald
