[pchelpers] Re: PCTV HD Mini Stick

Scott,  I  am  upgrading   my RAM from  1GB  to  2GB.  Toshiba  rep  said  I
could  have  4GB  but  the  written  specs  said  2048MB.

The  unit  while  having  USB2  and  double layer  DVD  was  still  not  the
top  of  the line.  The  salesperson  told  me  that  another  customer  paid
$400  more  for  a  HP.

I  do  not  need  the  mini stick  immediately.  If it  is  okay  with  you  I
will  send  off  list  attachment(s)  with  more  information.   First,  I
have  to  review  my  notebook  spec  sheet  and  then  see  if  I  can  get
help  from  the  manufacturer  -  rep  or  website.  I  may  do more  research
myself.  I have  until  Feb  19  2009  before  the  USA  goes  digital.

I guess I didn't really answer your question, but I don't know how much
bandwidth and CPU time are used up for processing HD TV signals, so I
can't really comment. It's probably adequate for analog TV. Does the
adapter come with recommended specs? If so, I'd go by that.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
