[pchelpers] PCI Modem

I have a coputer about 5 years old   and it's always used a 16 bit ISA 
slot  on com3,

it went bad so I purchased a V92  PCI   modem  but when   Itry to 
install it , I get a message saying
the CPU has no MMX   can't find MMX

is there some option or update I need to put ibn or is the modem not 
compatible with my
processor ?
