To be able to record a show while watching another, you will need a tv
card that has a dual tuner.
The recording software will record from one tuner while you are watching
from the other tuner. (You could install 2 tv cards and do this)

I have use a ATI 550 Theater Pro PCI-X. and found the ATI software
bloated, and hard to work with, and the recorded show quality
just not good enough for my standards. Their quality was "good, better,
best" what kind of recording control is that?
I also downloaded over 25 different recording programs over 3/4 of them
couldn't see the card, or make the sound work.

So I dumped that card for the ATI 650 theater Pro. ATI software still
sucks, but all the other recording programs
can use this card cause it is in a PCI slot.

I would recommend "Beyond TV" It has all the control that I want. I
have never use CC so I do not know if it it works,
even tho I seen on the B-TV forums topics about CC on certain cards
dated from 2005.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
