    Ellen, I am not sure about the Caller ID thing but this is what I have
and it permits me to answer the telephone without losing the Internet. I to
have only one line.

Requirements:
V.92 Modem mine includes V.90 and V.44 Standards  $31.48 at Staples
Call Waiting from your telephone service
V.92 plus (MOH)  Modem on Hold service from our ISP.
Software comes packaged with the V.92 modem and works well.
My OS is Windows Millenium
