CALGARY — An infamous Israeli hacker who once found his way into the
Pentagon's computer system has agreed to be extradited to the United
States, where he is now accused of being the mastermind of a
multimillion-dollar, worldwide hacking ring.
Crown prosecutor Jane McClellan formally withdrew Canadian charges
against Ehud Tenenbaum when he appeared before provincial court Judge
John Reilly in Calgary on Tuesday, paving the way for extradition to New
York.
Tenenbaum, 29, known by the alias Analyzer, had faced six counts of
unauthorized use of a credit card, two counts of mischief to data and
one count of fraud over $5,000, related to $1.8-million theft from
Direct Cash Management Inc., based in Calgary.
