Launches $1 billion law case

A UTAH based anti-spam company has filed a $1 billion lawsuit on behalf
of 20,000 Internet users who helped it launch a honey pot programme to
snare spammers.

Unspam Technologies provided its customers with a software tool that
sets up Web pages, called Honey Pots. These provided fake email
addresses to the spammers which were used by investigators to track both
the harvesters and the spammers who use them.
