I know this may sound crazy, but when I had dialup, what sometimes changed mine
was
Norton's. I had Norton Antivirus and Norton Systemworks, and out of the blue
after I
had done something using Norton's, it would change things on me. It changed my
default email settings and my dialup settings. Crazy!
Sincerely,

Windows 98

Dial-Up Connection
What are some [possible causes of my Internet Properties Connections changing
settings "on their own", that is, without me manually changing them? Often I
find
that instead of "Always dial my default connection" being selected, it has
changed to
"Never dial connection".
I always shut down by first disconnecting from my dial-up connection. However,
even
if I forget, that is not the cause of this change of setting.
