To network to an XP machine special software should not be necessary.
XP has a "network wizard" . The wizard prompts me to insert a blank floppy.
Once the XP end of the network is complete I put the floppy in the 95, 98,
0r ME, machine and it sets up the slave machine. Lastly a network wire with
crossed send and recieve wires connected between the two computers ---- and
so far it works every time..... (one of the things the Wizard asks is will
the slave machine connect to the internet through the XP machine).
