TCP/IP is the only thing needed for internet access. Can use either TCP/IP or NetBEUI on a local network. For maximum safety, you would have TCP/IP for internet, without file-sharing bound to it and with NetBIOS turned off, and have NetBEUI for local use, with file-sharing bound to it. NetBEUI won't go out past a router or switch, so you can use it for file sharing in a home environment. --Scott.
