I was exploring the value of websites. For example, take a website that we all
know, modecideas
Network Solutions rates this site with word relevance having two stars,
domain name length having three stars, and live website, domain extension, and
traffic ranking all having a top of five stars. The value was the same as
cnn.com which scored higher.
Apparently, Network Solutions is in the business of selling names and not so
much the content of the website. My website was only worth several hundred US
dollars but it is presently off list apparently for re evaluation.
How traffic ranking is determined I cannot fathom. Why modecideas scored low
on word relevance puzzles me too.
The regulars here all know my website but the name was altered to gain google
access. Any ideas on the criterion that Network Solutions uses in its rating?
Gerald
