I'd suggest getting ahold of Acer; if they're distributing Nero with
the drive, then presumably they believe that Nero works properly with
the drive. That tells me that either there's an add-on data file that
you didn't install (perhaps didn't get put into the package) or else
there's something wrong with either the drive or the computer. If you
have access to another computer, you might try the drive in it to make
sure that it's not a computer problem.
Have you tried copying a CD to see if that works?
