[pchelpers] Re: Need Fixed IP address

Thanks John,

When I can get to the Modem it has the IP address OK but the IP Address 
in the Network and Sharing Center in the Control Panel is the one that 
gets screwed up.  So once the address changes on the system it cannot 
even access the modem at all much less the internet.  At least that is 
what I see so far and the reason I am asking for help.

The only way I can get it back correctly is to power down the XP  and 
the Vista machine, power down the Modem, bring the Modem back up then 
bring up the Vista Machine first.  Of course that requires my going back 
out to the modem and setting the TCP and UDP ports eache time I drop the 
modem.
