For some reason the IP address on my Vista Computer occasionally changes
to one that the modem does not recognize and I cannot get out to the
Internet.
The correct IP address is 192.168.1.97 but sometimes if the XP machine
is already on and connected to the Internet before I try to access the
Internet with the Vista machine the IPv4 IP Address changes to something
weird which looks like a valid IP Address but the Linksys Switch blocks
access to the DSL Modem.
Does anyone have a way to make the correct IP address fixedat what it is
supposed to be? I do not even know where to go to ask this question,
1. Linksys 2 Bellsouth(AT&T) 3. Hewlett Packard (Who Microsoft says must
handle all Vista questions for the HP Machine)

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
