I will respond later when I have more strength to explain. I'm am not removing anything from c:\windows manually or otherwise, altho I did do a "Microsoft" cleanup" of whatever it's called. Windows looks "normal" now. I'll read your post later Scott and thanks. yuck. What I do, tho, is go into programs and remove all of the files, as in when I have to remove an AOL version; it's too much of a "bother" to do it correctly.
