Maybe you do, but touching them manually is a bad idea, unless you
have a death wish. If you are excessively short on space, the safe
thing to do is to get a bigger hard drive.

If you wish to remove stuff from C:\Windows, then go into Add/Remove
Programs, and you should see a button on the left for "Add/Remove
Windows Components". Here, you can get rid of that nasty evil
Netmeeting and anything else that you don't use.

I've told you before, and I'll tell you again: if you're really
serious about getting things working better, you should back up
anything that you want to save (DVD writers are good for this; they
can hold 4.3G of data, more if ZIPped up, and are relatively cheap)
from C:, then turn off the computer and physically remove D: from the
system, then turn back on and wipe out C: and reinstall Windows from
scratch, along with any applications that you really want to keep;
install them from CD or DVD; don't go back online until you get
antivirus and firewall installed and configured. Only after you're all
done, hook D: back up.

The other option, of course, is to put the computer into the nearest
trash can, but then you probably wouldn't have anything to do all day.
:)

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
