[pchelpers] My Search bar

Using XP home edition
Lavasoft's Adaware locked up last night so I removed the program and downloaded 
their SE version.
Later today MY Search bar appeared when Browsing with IE.
Went to Control Panel to remove it, removed My Search, shut down, rebooted. 
Still there.
Also I now have new sounds.
I don't like this.
HELP, please
