Gil,

Yes I almost certain that the problem you are describing 
is real easy to correct. All you need to do is turn off 
call waiting and this will solve your problem. Look up 
the code in the local phone book and then add that 
before the number and it will look something like this 
*70,followed by the number or for example *70, 111-555-
1212 please let us know if this solves the problem. It 
is not his ISP it is his phone company.
