[pchelpers] Modem Problems

A friend of mine is having major modem problems. The trouble is that 
whenever he'online and receives an incoming phone call his connection 
gets dropped and he's kicked off line. It's gotten so bad that he's thought 
of cancelling his ISP (he's 90 and has a low threshold of tolerance for 
computer hassles).

He currently has a Windoze 98 OS and a generic modem v90 that came 
with the system.

Does anyone have any suggestions for trouble shooting the problem?
