Hi folks, You know where this came from. No, it's from WindowsITPro.com: A Microsoft Joke? Bill Gates walks into a bar and the patrons--Microsoft customers, all--turn to look at the world's richest man. He announces, "I'm going to devote all my time to Longhorn!" Everyone cheers and lifts Gates to carry him around the room in a victory parade. Two years pass, and Gates returns to the bar. Longhorn hasn't shipped, the project is horribly mismanaged, and it's now something of a joke in the industry. He announces, "I'm going to devote all my time to security!" This time, he's met by silence. So is this joke funny? Not in the classic sense. But that's what just happened, minus the bar, of course. Something to think about. -- -------list-services-below----------- Regards, John Durham (list moderator) <http://modecideas.com/contact.html?sig> Freelists login at http://www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi List archives at http://www.freelists.org/archives/pchelpers PC-HELPERS list subscribe/unsub at http://modecideas.com/discuss.htm?sig Latest news live feeds at http://modecideas.com/indexhomenews.htm?sig Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
