[pchelpers] Re: Maxtor External HD problem

Hi Tonia :
I went through that with an internal Maxtor Sata II drive -- 300 gigs
windows XP pro sp2. would not recognized it, even thought the bios did and
enabled.. -I have a printer HP and other peripherals that is USB you must
install the software first before you plug it in . For me I used a
program called Acronis I made 3 partitions and formatted and booted each
partitions I checked in my computer and there it was. First Try installing
your USB software first. I also installed the software and still it didn't
recognized the USB hardware - I updated the driver from where the software
was installed it fixed the problem . You can get a trial Acronis to use its
a full program why don't you give it a shot. Jackie

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
