[pchelpers] Re: MS Vista and upgrade

I just looked at the Microsoft comparison chart and Vista Basic only offers a 
little more than 
  Windows XP Home.  I already have Internet Explorer 7 and I use AOL McAfee 
protection.
For a user upgrading from Windows 98 it might make sense.  In my situation it

I do have problems since the Hauppage PC tuner is incompatible with Vista with 
its present software. There are other issues too. If the issues can be resolved 
does an upgrade to Vista Basic make sense? My Dell desktop was only purchased 
about three months ago and has some outstanding features and uses the latest 
technology. I wonder what the consumer is getting for Vista Basic. I can review 
the Microsoft site, I know. But that is just propaganda. What does the helpers
