Below is a good site with instructions for using MusicMatch. MusicMatch is
free. I have MusicMatchPlus on top of MusicMatch
which carries a one time fee of $19.95, but these instructions do no indicate
that Plus is needed.

Briefly, I have a Left and Right Audio Plug in the Output of my Tape Recorder
which converges to a single stereo plug going to
the "Line In" Input of my XP soundblaster sound card that came within my
computer.

You do some settings in MusicMatch outlined outlined at the site cited above,
things like .MP3 or .wav, etc.

I followed the test outlined in the above site's instructions. My test
cassessett verified that my test was going into the
computer as an MP3 file. I have a blank CD in my CD/RW, so I assume that is
where the music of this tape will end up.

Good Luck with MusicMatch, I don't find it having the best of tutorials, but
music and I don't converge to well, either. For the
purpose of tape to cd that you asked about, I find the instructions at the site
shown above, quite good.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
