[pchelpers] Re: MP3 Disc player & Digital reorder

Bob, I tried to record the DC this year at both Philadelphia and
Richmond. I only went two days at Philadelphia as a guest and both days the
FM transmitter went down in the early afternoon. In addition to that the
signal is very weak and the fatal thing is that it sometimes drifts. If you
are listening it is easy to make the adjustment as long as the Transmitter
continues working but if you just try to set it to record and forget it you
will wind up with very bad copy or not at all. At Richmond I had a full time
assignment and tried it again with identical results. Fortunately next
Sunday I am leaving for Hawaii to the International Convention. I expect to
be able to listen to the whole thing this time and not try to record it.
I am now leaning toward the Digital MP3 with at least 128 MB memory
since the WT & Awake MP3 Discs being distributed in 2004 can be copied into
the MP3 Digital memory for mobile use with a cassette adapter to play
through the radio in the car. There are some units that are upgradeable to
512 MB.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
