[pchelpers] Re: Lindows

i am using lindows. it is not so good as they say... for now.

it's based on debian and has wine pre-instaled. you can install it over
windows or in a clean disk.

it is compatible with some windows software, but for now it doesn't work
very well in my opinion. if you have windows 98 and office 2000 pinstaled
and install lindows you can see word and excel working on it but you can't
install them directly on lindows for now bexcause i think it can't treat
registry updates very well(or at all).

i couldn't get it to work with my isp's cable conection so i can't tell how
it works on the web. as for networks, it is not so good as red hat or other
linuxs. it is not a final version, so i think they are working hard to make
this a good OS.
