[pchelpers] Last night

Hi folks,

Last night, I was stuck in a building with the intruder alarm going
off. I spent minutes trying to call to ask for the code for the alarm.
After 3 attempts to call, the alarm had gone silent, which I didn't
like the sound of. I called the home number, and got through, by which
time the alarm had woken up again. It turned out that the daughter was
on the cellphone, which is why I got no answer. I punched the code in
and the alarm shut up, and as far as I know, no one showed up to find
out what was going on. :)

Then, after I was done there, I went home, and after about an hour, my
computer locked up, and after restarting, I had no internet access;
couldn't even hit my router.

I came home today expecting to be spending the evening and tomorrow
reinstalling Windows, but got it working again; I had deleted all of
the network protocols, followed by deleting the driver itself, and
restarted, after which the driver reappeared all by itself, and it
started working again. :) Anyway, something to remember next time that
kinda problem shows up.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
