[pchelpers] Laptop Heat and Vibration

My toshiba L45 was on my lap. When booting up I felt vibration that stopped.
Then the unit became warm. I am told it should have a fan but I do not know
where to look or feel the air like a desktop. I may not be getting competent
advice so does this group have any ideas?
