Thanks for the replies Scott and PcCowboy.

It seems like the crossover Ethernet cable is the more logical choice.. =
But I was hoping to avoid doing network configuration on the second PC. =
I regularly pull out Hard drives from their cases and stick them into my =
portable drive to clean out viruses, salvage files, etc. I was looking =
for an easier way.

USB would have been so much easier.=20

If anyone finds any DIY options online please don't hesitate to share.
