I assume you mean rightclicking < send to < mail recipient. That will do 
the same thing for any file you rightclick on, so it doesn't depend on 
the file itself. If it's not doing what you want, Outlook is probably 
resisting not being the default.

You probably clicked OK on the annoying nag screen (asking something 
about settings) you get when you update Internet Explorer to IE8 or 
later start IE or when it starts for some reason.

You may have to go into Outlook's menus to find a relevant setting, but 
the following may do the same and be less annoying and time-consuming:

I've heard that you sometimes have to go back and forth between Outlook 
and Thunderbird making first one and then the other the default before 
Windows resists its efforts to keep you faithful to MS...
