Ok, well Microsoft Outlook IMO means Internet Mail Only mode, apparently.

As for the winmail.dat attachment, that's nothing to do with the file,
that's Microsoft Exchange's Rich Text Information, which encodes attributes
such as boldface, underline, fonts, and colours.  These attachments are only
formatting and not important to the message itself.

It sounds like the body of the message might in fact be very large,
especially since the File | Save Attachments option is disabled.
Are you able to forward the e-mail to me directly (bevan@xxxxxxxxxxxxx), if
it's not sensitive or personal information, and I could let you know if
there's another attachment lurking in the background somewhere?
